How Movers Dubai helps you find movers in Dubai

Movers Dubai does two things. It publishes plain guides to the parts of a Dubai move that catch people out, and it runs one free quote request form. When you send the form, your request goes to a moving company that serves your area, and that company contacts you with its own quote. We are not a moving company: the mover you book does the packing and moving, sets the price and takes payment.

If you are hiring a full-service crew, start with our guide to movers and packers in Dubai, which explains what they do and what is usually included. To check whether a quote is in line with the market, compare it with the typical moving costs in Dubai by home size. Before you book anyone, read how to compare movers in Dubai, including how to look up a mover’s trade licence.

How a moving quote request works

Three steps from the form to a quote from a mover that serves your area

  1. Tell us about your move

Choose the move type and home size, the areas you are moving from and to, and your date. Add anything unusual, such as a piano or a long walk from the loading bay.

Sending the form is free and does not commit you to anything

  2. We pass it to a mover

Your request goes to a moving company that serves your area. Movers Dubai does not quote, pack or move anything itself.

The mover may ask for photos, a video call or a home visit

  3. The mover quotes you directly

You get the mover’s own written quote and decide whether to book. Check what it includes, who applies for the building permit and the liability limit.

Four things to sort out before moving day in Dubai

Last checked:

The move permit

Most towers and gated communities will not let a moving truck in without a move-in or move-out permit. Emaar Community Management, for example, asks for an online application at least one business day before the move, with your Ejari, Emirates ID and passport with visa page.

The service lift

In most towers the service lift and loading bay are booked in time slots through building management, sometimes with a refundable damage deposit. Book both buildings’ slots before you confirm the date with the mover.

How it works: booking a service elevator in Dubai.

Truck hours on the roads

From 1 October 2026 the RTA bars trucks from Sheikh Zayed Road and Beirut Street between 6 am and 10 pm, closes some roads to trucks all day, and shuts urban roads such as Airport Street at rush hours. Emirates Road is exempt. The route can decide what time the truck arrives.

Ejari and DEWA

For most tenants, DEWA sends the move-in deposit request after the new Ejari is registered. The residential deposit is AED 2,000 for a flat and AED 4,000 for a villa, so register Ejari early enough to have power and water on moving day.

Whether you need a removals company for a flat, a relocation company for an office or furniture movers for one heavy piece, each guide covers what the job involves in Dubai and what to ask before you book.

Apartment, villa and studio moves within Dubai. Tower moves depend on the service lift and loading bay; villa moves on gate access and how much is in the garden.

Office and business relocation

Office, IT and warehouse moves, usually planned for evenings or weekends so the business keeps running.

International removals from Dubai

Sea or air shipping with export packing and the customs forms the destination country asks for.

Questions about movers in Dubai

Short answers on cost, permits, timing and how a quote request through Movers Dubai works.

How much do movers cost in Dubai?

Typical Dubai market ranges, last checked October 2026: a studio apartment AED 800–1,200, a 2-bedroom apartment AED 1,800–3,000 and a 3-bedroom villa AED 3,500–6,000 for loading, transport and unloading within Dubai. Packing, building fees and special items are usually extra. The mover you hire sets the final price after seeing your inventory.

Is Movers Dubai a moving company?

No. Movers Dubai is an independent moving guide and quote-request service. It has no trucks, crew or warehouse. When you send the quote form, your request is passed to a moving company that serves your area, and that company quotes you and does the move.

Is it free to request a moving quote?

Yes. Sending the quote form costs nothing and you are not obliged to book. You only pay if you agree a price with the mover, and you pay the mover directly.

Do I need a permit to move in Dubai?

Most towers and gated communities ask for a move-in or move-out permit from the community manager or building management, and many also ask you to book the service lift. Emaar Community Management, for example, asks you to apply online at least one business day before the move with your Ejari, Emirates ID and passport.

How far ahead should I book movers in Dubai?

Leave enough time for the building permit and the lift booking, which some communities process in one or two working days. Many leases end at the end of the month, so ask movers early if your date falls then, and confirm the date only once the permit is approved.

Can moving trucks drive at any time in Dubai?

No. Since 1 October 2026 the RTA bars trucks from some roads at peak hours, for example Sheikh Zayed Road from 6 am to 10 pm, and keeps some roads closed to trucks all day. Ask the mover how the route and loading time fit these rules.

What should a written moving quote include?

The inventory or volume it is based on, the crew and trucks, packing materials, dismantling and reassembly, who handles the building permit and lift booking, the liability limit, the deposit and payment terms, and any charges for long carries, stairs or waiting time.
