Find answers to common questions about our moving services
Priority is safety and comfort: inspect the property for issues, test all utilities, take meter readings with photos, set up beds and bathroom essentials, and check that all locks work. Document any pre-existing damage immediately.
You should register Ejari within 14 days of moving in. It's required for visa processing, DEWA connection, and serves as your legal proof of residence. You can do it online through Dubai REST app or through typing centers.
By law, you must update your Emirates ID address within 30 days of moving. You can do this easily through the ICA UAE app. It's free and takes just a few minutes with your tenancy contract.
DEWA (electricity and water) is most critical - apply within 2-3 days. Internet/TV services take 3-7 days to activate so apply early. Chiller AC registration (if building has district cooling) should be done within first week to avoid interruptions.
Contact property management office, check your lease agreement, and ask to join building resident WhatsApp groups. Most buildings provide a resident handbook. Visit the management office to get access cards for gym, pool, and other facilities.
Yes! Dubai has a friendly expat community. A simple introduction can help you learn about the building, get local recommendations, and build a support network. Many buildings have community events perfect for meeting neighbors.
