1. Agreement to Terms

By using the website movers-dubai.ae, requesting a quote, booking our moving services, or communicating with us through any channel (phone, email, WhatsApp, chatbot), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you," or "your") and Movers Dubai ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), a professional moving company registered and operating in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

2. Our Services

Movers Dubai provides professional moving and relocation services throughout Dubai and the UAE, including:

2.1 Moving Services

  • Residential Moving: Apartments, villas, studios, townhouses, and penthouses
  • Commercial Moving: Offices, warehouses, retail spaces, and corporate relocations
  • International Moving: Door-to-door relocation services to/from UAE
  • Specialty Moving: Pianos, artwork, antiques, safes, and fragile items
  • Same-Day Moving: Emergency and urgent moving services

2.2 Additional Services

  • Packing & Unpacking: Professional packing with quality materials
  • Storage Solutions: Short-term and long-term secure storage facilities
  • Furniture Disassembly/Assembly: Safe handling of all furniture types
  • Building Permit Coordination: Managing move-in/move-out permits
  • Vehicle Transport: Car and motorcycle transportation (upon request)

The specific services, scope, and pricing for your move will be detailed in your individual quote and booking confirmation.

3. Quotes and Pricing

3.1 Quote Process

  • Quotes are provided free of charge based on information you provide
  • We offer online quotes, phone consultations, and in-person assessments
  • Accurate information ensures accurate pricing - please provide complete details about items, access conditions, and special requirements
  • Quotes include an itemized breakdown of services and charges

3.2 Quote Validity

  • Standard quotes are valid for 14 days from the date issued
  • During peak seasons (summer, month-end), quotes may have shorter validity
  • Price changes due to market conditions will be communicated before confirmation

3.3 Price Adjustments

Final pricing may be adjusted if:

  • Actual inventory differs significantly from the quoted scope (additional items discovered)
  • Access conditions were not accurately described (stairs, no elevator, parking distance)
  • Additional services are requested on moving day
  • Unforeseen circumstances require extra time or resources

We will communicate any price adjustments and obtain your approval before proceeding with additional charges.

3.4 Additional Charges

Services not included in the original quote may incur extra charges:

4. Booking and Payment

4.1 Booking Confirmation

  • A deposit of 20-30% of the total quote is required to secure your moving date
  • Bookings are confirmed only after deposit receipt and written confirmation
  • Moving dates are subject to availability - we recommend booking at least 1 week in advance
  • Peak periods (month-end, summer) require earlier booking

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Deposit: Due at booking confirmation
  • Balance: Due upon satisfactory completion of the move
  • Accepted Methods: Cash, credit/debit cards, bank transfers, online payment
  • Currency: All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED)

4.3 Receipt and Documentation

You will receive a detailed receipt/invoice upon payment completion. For corporate moves, invoicing options with NET payment terms may be available upon request.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

5.1 Cancellation by Customer

5.2 Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling requests are subject to availability
  • First reschedule with 48+ hours notice: No charge
  • Subsequent rescheduling or short-notice changes may incur administrative fees
  • Rescheduling to peak dates may require price adjustment

5.3 Cancellation by Company

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a move in exceptional circumstances (severe weather, vehicle breakdown, safety concerns). In such cases:

  • We will notify you as early as possible
  • We will offer alternative dates at no extra cost
  • Full refund available if alternative dates are not acceptable

6. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth moving experience, you agree to:

6.1 Before the Move

  • Provide accurate and complete information about items to be moved
  • Disclose any access restrictions (narrow stairs, no elevator, parking issues)
  • Inform us of any items requiring special handling or insurance
  • Obtain necessary building permits or coordinate with us to do so
  • Disconnect and prepare appliances (defrost refrigerators, disconnect washing machines)
  • Empty drawers and secure loose items in furniture

6.2 On Moving Day

  • Be present or have an authorized representative at both locations
  • Ensure clear access paths (hallways, elevators, parking)
  • Secure pets and children during the move
  • Remove items not to be moved from the work area
  • Verify inventory before truck departure

6.3 Valuables and Personal Items

Important: The following items should remain with you and NOT be loaded on the moving truck:

  • Cash, jewelry, and precious metals
  • Important documents (passports, visas, contracts, certificates)
  • Medications and medical records
  • Personal electronics (laptops, phones, tablets)
  • Irreplaceable sentimental items
  • Keys to the new property

7. Our Responsibilities

Movers Dubai commits to:

7.1 Professional Service

  • Handle your belongings with professional care and attention
  • Use appropriate packing materials and equipment
  • Employ trained, vetted, and uniformed moving staff
  • Maintain clean, well-equipped moving vehicles

7.2 Time and Communication

  • Arrive at the scheduled time (within a reasonable 30-minute window)
  • Communicate any delays or issues promptly
  • Provide updates during the move if requested
  • Complete the move in a timely and efficient manner

7.3 Coordination

  • Coordinate with building management as agreed
  • Handle permits and NOCs when this service is included
  • Respect building rules and moving hours
  • Protect common areas during the move

8. Liability and Insurance

8.1 Standard Coverage

All moves include basic liability coverage as specified in your quote. Standard coverage provides protection for items damaged due to our negligence during loading, transport, and unloading.

8.2 Coverage Limits

  • Standard coverage: Based on declared value per shipment
  • Per-item maximum: As specified in your service agreement
  • High-value items: Additional coverage available for purchase

8.3 Exclusions

We are NOT liable for damage to:

  • Owner-packed boxes: Items packed by the customer (we cannot verify contents or packing quality)
  • Pre-existing damage: Items with prior damage, wear, or defects
  • Mechanical/electrical issues: Appliances that fail to work due to internal problems
  • Prohibited items: Items we specifically cannot transport (see Section 9)
  • Acts of nature: Damage from weather, accidents beyond our control
  • Items of extraordinary value: Not declared and insured separately

8.4 Claims Process

  • All claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery
  • Claims should be submitted in writing with photos and description
  • We will investigate and respond within 14 business days
  • Valid claims will be settled according to the coverage terms

9. Prohibited Items

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport:

9.1 Hazardous Materials

  • Flammable liquids (gasoline, kerosene, paint thinners)
  • Explosives and fireworks
  • Chemicals and corrosive substances
  • Pressurized containers (propane, oxygen tanks)
  • Batteries (car batteries, lithium batteries in quantity)

9.2 Perishable and Living

  • Perishable food items (frozen, refrigerated)
  • Plants (exceptions may apply for local moves)
  • Pets and animals

9.3 Illegal and Restricted

  • Illegal items or controlled substances
  • Items prohibited under UAE law
  • Stolen or fraudulently obtained goods

9.4 Items We Recommend You Keep

  • Cash, jewelry, and negotiable instruments
  • Important documents and records
  • Irreplaceable items of sentimental value

10. Delays and Force Majeure

We strive to complete all moves on schedule. However, we are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Traffic conditions: Dubai's traffic can be unpredictable
  • Weather events: Sandstorms, heavy rain, extreme heat warnings
  • Building access issues: Elevator breakdowns, permit delays, restricted access
  • Customer-caused delays: Not ready, additional packing needed, access issues
  • Government actions: Road closures, security events
  • Force majeure: Natural disasters, civil unrest, pandemics

We will communicate any significant delays as soon as possible and work to minimize impact.

11. Website Terms

11.1 Content Accuracy

Our website (movers-dubai.ae) is provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Prices shown are indicative and subject to final quote
  • Service descriptions are general and may vary
  • Images are representative and may not reflect actual equipment
  • Availability of services may change

11.2 Online Quotes

Online quote estimates are preliminary and based on the information provided. Final pricing requires assessment and confirmation.

11.3 Chatbot Assistance

Our AI chatbot provides helpful information and can assist with inquiries. Chatbot responses are informational and do not constitute binding offers or guarantees. For binding quotes and bookings, please confirm with our team.

11.4 Intellectual Property

All content on movers-dubai.ae (text, images, logos, design) is owned by Movers Dubai and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

12. Privacy and Data

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

We use Google Analytics (via Firebase) to understand website usage. We use Newoaks AI for our chatbot functionality. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on data practices.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Resolution Process

In the event of any dispute:

  1. Direct Communication: Contact us first to resolve the issue amicably
  2. Mediation: If unresolved, we may suggest third-party mediation
  3. Arbitration: Binding arbitration under UAE arbitration rules
  4. Legal Action: As a last resort, subject to Section 13.2

13.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • Material changes will be communicated via website notice
  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
  • Bookings made before changes are subject to terms at time of booking

We recommend reviewing these terms periodically.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15.2 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with your quote and booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Movers Dubai regarding our services.

15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
