Yes, every move with Movers Dubai includes our Standard Coverage at no additional cost. This provides protection up to AED 50,000 for items we pack and transport. For moves involving high-value items or requiring higher coverage limits, we recommend our Extended Coverage option.
Our insurance covers household goods, furniture, electronics, and appliances that we pack and transport. Standard Coverage includes items up to AED 5,000 each. For valuable items like antiques, artwork, or electronics worth more than AED 5,000, you must declare them for Extended Coverage or purchase additional protection.
Items not covered include: pre-existing damage, items you packed yourself (unless we inspect and re-pack), cash, jewelry, important documents, perishables, plants, pets, and items damaged by natural disasters. Owner-packed boxes have limited coverage unless we inspect contents before sealing.
You must report damage within 24 hours of delivery and submit a formal claim within 7 days. We recommend inspecting all items upon delivery and noting any concerns on the delivery receipt before signing. Late claims may be denied or receive reduced compensation.
We use current replacement value minus depreciation for most items. Original purchase receipts help establish value. For antiques or artwork, we may require professional appraisal. Extended Coverage uses full replacement value without depreciation for most items.
Yes, our international moving service includes marine cargo insurance for sea freight and transit insurance for air freight. Coverage begins from pickup in Dubai until delivery at your destination. Additional coverage is available for customs delays and temporary storage.
Hidden damage (not visible at delivery) should be reported as soon as discovered, ideally within 7 days. Document the damage with photos and keep all packing materials. Our team will investigate and process valid claims, though proof of our handling causing the damage is required.
